| Product: | Vision Guide 2.0 (all versions up to and including 2.2.4) |
| Problem: | Vision model files not copied properly if no Vision Guide software key |
Symptoms
After a vision project is opened without the
Vision Guide software key installed and a Project Copy or Project Save As is
executed, the Correlation and Polar object files are not copied properly.
When the vision sequences that use the affected models are run, a "Model not
trained" errors occur.
Causes
This has been confirmed to be a bug in Vision Guide
2.0. The file name for each model is converted to it's short filename
equivalent (8 characters with tilda) when copied to the new project
directory.
Remedies
Method 1
Install a Vision Guide software key, then perform Project Copy or Project Save
As.
Method
2
After using Project Copy
or Project Save As, use Windows Explorer to delete all .MDL files in the new
project directory, then copy all .MDL files from the old project directory to
the new project directory.
Status
This problem will be fixed in a future
version.
