| How To: | Resetting SPEL for Windows Registry Settings to Defaults |
If your SPEL for Windows seems corrupted (i.e. internal errors occur during project open, or editing), you may need to reset the registry settings to defaults because the Windows registry has become corrupted.
Follow these steps:
1. Shut down SPEL for Windows.
2. Click Start, then Run.
3. Type in regedit and run it.
4. Open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.
5. Open the Software folder.
6. Open the Seiko Instruments USA folder.
7. Select the SPEL for Windows 2.0 folder by clicking on it once as shown below.
8. Press the Delete key to delete the SPEL for Windows 2.0 folder.
9. Close the Registry Editor.
10. Run SPEL for Windows. All defaults will be restored.
