| Problem: | How to view projects being used on another computer. |
| Starting with SPEL for
Windows 2.0 (ver 2.2.0), you can open projects that are already in use on
another computer in read-only mode. To view a project on another computer: |
|
| 1. Map the drive containing the project
to your computer. Use My Computer or Network Neighborhood. 2. Open the project using Project | Open. 3. Check the Read Only check box to open the project in read only mode. Note: If you do not check Read Only, then when you attempt to open the project, you will see a message stating that the project cannot be locked and that the project can only be opened in read only mode. |
|
| You can also view projects on write protected floppy disks and CDs using the Read Only feature. | |
