Pro Six PS3L and PS3LP Robots
Pro Six Robots Overview
The EPSON Pro Six family of 6-axis robots provide superior performance along with our industry leading PC based controls. Whether you are looking for high speed, low vibration, higher payloads, more reach, or robots for special environment use, EPSON has the Pro Six model to fit your application requirements. The rigid arm designs combined with advanced EPSON servo control technology results in high speed motion and low vibration even when high precision high speed cycles are required. All Pro Six 6-Axis robots feature brakes on all axes and most models have the flexibility of being mounted in table top, wall or ceiling configurations.

The EPSON Pro Six 6-axis robots use the same industry leading EPSON RC520 PC based controller that controls our popular E2 Series Robots (SCARA) and EPSON EZ Modules (Linear Modules) thus allowing customers to take advantage of one controls solution for their entire factory. Plus, EPSON RC+ is extremely easy to learn and use due to the intuitive design and multitude of time saving features and capabilities. The power and flexibility of the EPSON RC520 PC based controller also reduces workcell integration by providing all the functionality normally required for a typical robot workcell in one compact package.

EPSON Pro Six Robots are ideal for applications where 6 axis dexterity is required such as: small parts assembly, dispensing, lab automation, machine tending, material handling, medical device manufacturing, packaging, food handling and many other applications requiring speed, precision and/or smooth motion.

Powerful Controls
EPSON Robots is the leader in PC based controls with our EPSON RC+ Robot Control Software and RC520 controller gaining wide acceptance as the easiest system to learn and use. With a fast Intel processor and 11 expandability slots (7 ISA/ 4 PCI), the RC520 is both powerful and expandable. Our RC520 controller not only gives access to the thousands of 3rd party products available for the PC but we have focused on ease of use to help reduce learning and development time. As a result, many of our customers have experienced significant reductions in development time due to the ease with which our robots can be programmed.

Integrated Options
EPSON Pro Six Robots have a wide variety of integrated options available to help reduce the time required to solve complex application problems. Since everything is done from one development environment, developers can focus on solving their applications vs. dealing with multiple programming languages/environments and trying to get various perpheral products to communicate and work properly together. With our PC based controls and tight integration of options fromEPSON Robots, our customers are able to build complex applications in minimal time as compared to other vendors products.

Current Integrated options for the Pro Six product line include: Vision Guidance (Vision Guide), Conveyor Tracking, Active X Controls (VB Guide), Force Sensing, DeviceNet (Master & Slave), Profibus (Master & Slave), Security/Audit Log, and others that come out on a regular basis. Be sure to ask us if you need an option or capability you don't see here. With PC based controls the chances are that there is a solution available from a 3rd party vendor or it may be something we are working on as our next integrated option.

Fast Tool Orientation and Rotation
Cycle time is critical for today's demanding high speed applications. At EPSON Robots our focus has always been on producing the fastest robots while maintaining our high level or reliability. To achieve the fastest cycles times means that all axes must perform at the highest levels. This is why the orientation Axes for the EPSON Pro Six PS3 arms are built and fine tuned for maximum speed. The J4 and J5 axes travel at up to 375 deg/sec and the J6 wrist rotation axis travels up to 500 deg/sec.

Multiple Mounting Configurations
As mentioned earlier on this page the EPSON Pro Six PS3L and PS3LP arms are able to be mounted in multiple configurations. Pro Six arms can be mounted in table top, wall mount or even ceiling mount configurations. With the small footprint, the Pro Six PS3L and PS3LP can even be mounted on an EPSON EZ Module X-Axis for use as a linear track.        Pro Six Mounting Configurations
