EPSON is an industry leader in the area of
PC based controls for Industrial Robots and Workcell Control. Our EPSON RC+
Control Software is easy to learn and use as well as extremely powerful. Our
EPSON RC+ Development Environment has all the features you would normally
expect in an advanced Control System. With features such as 32 task
multi-tasking, real time scheduling, integrated source level multi-task
debugger, color syntax checking editor, control of multiple robots from one
controller, variable data types and the ability to extend the SPEL+ programming
language with user created DLL's (to name a few), EPSON RC+ is a favorite among
power users that need to get their applications finished fast. At the same
time, beginning or novice users also like our EPSON RC+ controls software due
to its simplicity and intuitive interface that is quite simply the easiest
robot control software to learn and use. With our powerful RC520 and RC420 PC
based Controller lineup it is easy to find the controls solution needed for a
variety of robot applications. Take a look at our PC Based Controller lineup
and then give us a call and we'll be glad to review how our EPSON Robots
combined with our powerful PC Based Controls can help solve your specific
automation task.
PC Based RC520 Expansion Controller
The EPSON RC520 Expansion Controller is
EPSON's premier PC based Controller. With 7 ISA and 4 PCI expansion slots
available, the number of 3rd party boards and components that can be added to
the RC520 are almost endless. Add to that the power of an Intel Pentium III
processor (currently running at 850 Mhz), a passive backplane for easy
maintenance, shock mount drive bay, removable hard drive (20 GB), built-in
Ethernet port and of course 2 RS-232 ports and a parallel port and you've got a
great hardware platform for our open architecture PC based controls. But of
course what really makes our RC520 and RC420 controllers great is our
EPSON RC+ Control Software.
With ease of use that is 2nd to none combined with the power and real time
performance required for even the toughest jobs EPSON RC+ is the preferred
control environment for both beginners and seasoned professionals alike. No
wonder customers keep coming back for more as we continue to build on an
already great PC based platform. Be sure to check out our EPSON RC+ Control
Software page for more info about our powerful controls environment and also
many of the optional software packages available to help save you time and
money.

PC Based RC420 Compact Controller
The EPSON RC420 Compact PC Based Controller
could have been made into the "scaled down version" of the RC520 controller.
After all, it is much more compact than the RC520 and our intention was to also
reduce some of the costs vs. the RC520 Controller. However, rather than scale
back features, we made the RC420 Controller with all the same powerful features
as the RC520 and at the same time we reduced the costs and passed those savings
on to our customers. The RC420 Controller is a 19 inch rack mount size which
stands just an inch or so taller than a standard 19 inch rack mount industrial
PC. When space is at a premium, the RC420 is the controller of choice. It
remains of course fully PC based, with the following: an Intel Celeron
processor (running at 850 MHz), lots of memory (128 MB PC100 SDRAM), shock
mounted removable hard drive (20 GB), Ethernet Port, 2 RS-232 ports, parallel
port and a fair number of PCI and ISA expansion slots. Add to that our easy to
learn yet powerful to use EPSON
RC+ Control Software and the RC420 is the robot controller to
beat.
